Sharon Freedman, Company Manager
Sharon has performed at such theaters as The Ensemble Studio Theater, The Kirk at Theater Row, The Shakespeare Theater of NJ, Center Stage, The Kraine Theater and The Hangar Theatre.  Favorite roles have included Lady Macbeth (MACBETH), Sarah (KIDSTUFF), Stacy (THE BIGGER MAN), and Karen (…a matter of choice).  She is passionate about the development of new plays and has workshoped new plays at The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, New Dramatists, The Ensemble Studio Theatre, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, The Seven Devils Playwrights Conference, Primary Stages, Young Playwrights Inc. and The 24Seven Lab, of which she is the Co-Creator and Company Manager. Her film credits include "It’s Your Birfday" (with Keith David), "Ladies Room" (official selection of Slamdance) and "The Ski Trip" (LOGO Network).  She has done numerous commercials, industrials, and voiceovers. She was the Co-Creator and Exec. Producer of Partial Comfort Productions’s Battle of the Bards. Edith Freni, Literary Manager
Edith’s plays have been staged, read and read staged at venues all over New York City. Notable productions include: KIDSTUFF (PCP/Theatre Row), MY DOG HEART (EST Marathon 2007; Dir: John Gould Rubin), HELP YOURSELF (Williamstown), MOMMA (PS 122/Best of the Boroughs Festival); BABY GIRL (PCP/Center Stage); and THE WORKAROUND and WATERBORN (EST/Youngblood). Commisions: Williamstown  Theatre Festival; McCarter Theater. Publications: WATERBORN (DPS); Hot Blooded, New Monologues from the Members of Youngblood (Playscripts, Inc.), and The Best Women's Stage Monologues 2006 (Smith & Kraus) and HOME AT LAST (Playscripts, Inc.). Edith  was a member of Youngblood, EST’s emerging playwright’s unit, from 1999-2008. She is also a member of Partial Comfort Productions and is the co-founder/lit manager of The 24Seven Lab.

Her play BOTTOM'S UP! was developed last year by LAByrinth Theatre Company and The 24Seven Lab and was recently featured in EST's 2009 Octoberfest Festival of New Work. TOTAL POWER EXCHANGE was read at New York Theatre Workshop in the fall of 2009 and has been developed by The 24Seven Lab, The Lark, and Woodshed Collective.

Edith has been a Lark Theatre Playwriting Fellow and a nominee for The Wasserstein Prize, the Cherry Lane Mentor Program, Wordbridge Playwrights Conference, and Seattle Rep Women’s Playwrights Workshop. She was the recipient of a Rita and Burton Goldberg Playwriting Fellowship and the Harry Kondoleon Graduate Playwriting Award from NYU, where she received both her BFA and MFA in Dramatic Writing. Edith is a native New Yorker, a displaced upper West-sider, and a Yankee fan. She is proud to be in faculty at the esteemed Perry Mansfield Performance Camp and School in Steamboat Springs, CO.

Sarah recently finished touring around the South Bronx in The Foundry’s site specific bus tour THE PROVENANCE OF BEAUTY. This past spring she appeared in the World Premiere of  SUNSETS AND MARGARITAS at The Denver Theater Center.
