Chad Beckim’s theater credits include "…a matter of choice, `NAMI, LIGHTS RISE ON GRACE, THAT MEN DO and MERCY, and his short plays include, THA BESS SHIT, BLACCIDENT, and LAST FIRST KISS. THAT MEN DO was selected as part of The Lark's 2009 Playwright's Week, and was a finalist for 2009 SPF and the Great Plains Theatre Conference. His film adaptation of THE MAIN(E) PLAY (currently entitled “Good Winter”) was optioned by Table Ten Films in July, 2009. As an actor, Chad has appeared onstage at Baltimore Center Stage, Playwrights' Horizons, The Flea Theater, The Culture Project/45 Below, and numerous TV shows and films. He was named one of “50 Playwrights to Watch” by the Dramatists Guild, and he is a co- Founder and co-Artistic Director of Partial Comfort Productions. Chad teaches English at Brooklyn College and works with at-risk youth in the New York City, and he holds an MFA in Playwrighting from Mac Wellman Brooklyn College's Program. |
